The five topics, one practice set each

The civic exam covers five areas: the principles and values of the Republic, the institutional and political system, rights and duties, history, geography and culture, and living in French society. The app gives each its own practice set, so you can spend extra time on the area that worries you instead of working through one long list.

You choose your goal when you set the app up: multi-year residence card (CSP), resident card (CR) or naturalisation. The first two use the questions that match that level, and naturalisation opens the whole bank.

Why explanations matter

Memorising an answer letter teaches you nothing the next time the question is worded differently. After every answer the app shows whether you were right and gives a short explanation of why, so you understand the rule or the fact behind it. The explanation is in your language and, if you wish, with the original French text shown beneath.

Practice order is built to help you learn rather than just count: questions you have never seen come first, then the ones you got wrong before, then the ones you already got right.

How to practise with the app

  1. Choose your goal and languageMulti-year card, resident card or naturalisation, then French, English or Arabic.
  2. Open a topicStart with the topic you know least. The app continues where you left off.
  3. Answer, then read the explanationYou see at once whether you were right, with a short reason.
  4. Come back to your weak spotsWrong answers are queued to come back, so nothing slips through.
